Therefore, you should also be interested in making your stairs as child-safe as possible. Our stair gates help you to elegantly reduce the distance between the individual steps so that no child can slip through. So it's easy to childproof an open staircase.

It is the ideal system for making open staircases child-safe or open staircases pet-proof.

The height of the free opening between two steps should ideally be less than 120mm so that pets or children cannot slip through between them. This set reduces your clear step spacing by 72mm, i.e. with a step spacing of 150mm you get a spacing of 78mm (150mm-72mm) with this set. This means they are well below the required 120mm.

This is how you determine the width you need

Measure the width of the stair tread at the front edge.

Now subtract 30mm (more or less as desired) on each side.

This means you will receive the size you want to order.
